The grapefruit production in Mexico plays a key role on a global scale. There are three main varieties popularly known as White, Red and Pink Grapefruit. The varieties are mainly identified by the color and are ideal for nectar fruit products. Citrofrut is characterized for the development of over 500 hectares of this fruit making us one of the largest growers of this fruit in Mexico.

Grapefruit is a citrus fruit that belongs to the Rutaceae family and comes from the Citrus paradisi tree. About 15 centimeters in size, it is covered with a thick and fleshy, yellow or pinkish rind. The grapefruit production in Mexico reaches just over 424 thousand tons per year, being the fourth largest producer in the world.
