Mexico is the fifth mango producing country in the world with 2 million tons production, It has a production growing rate of 3% (CAGR 2015-21). In 2020, its production grew 4%, higher than the rate for 2019 (SIAP, 2020).
Mango tommy is cultivated along the pacific rim of Mexico, from Chiapas to Sinaloa, including Nayarit, Oaxaca, Michoacán, Jalisco, Colima and Guerrero.

Tommy mango has a balance between swetness and fresh tangy flovour. It is highly valued for its very long shelf life with a little bruising or degradation during the transportation process. Tommy mangoes are tropical fruits with a medium to large size and dark red-blushed skin in oval shape.
