For this reason, it is worth highlighting the effort that has been made to increase the use of renewable energies in the plants’ operations; achieving that a significant percentage of the electric energy of Citrofrut’s plants comes from renewable sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Paso Largo plant, located in the municipality of San Rafael, Veracruz, has achieved that 63 percent of the energy used in this plant comes from a renewable source, while the Alamo plant, located in the same state, uses 48 percent of renewable energy for its operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the state of San Luis Potos\u00ed, where two more Citrofrut plants are located, the results have been equally satisfactory: the Huichihuay\u00e1n plant achieved 52 percent of renewable energy for its operation, while the PTAR Huichihuay\u00e1n plant uses 53 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite the fact that in 2019, the world emitted 0.6 percent more CO2 into the atmosphere; Citrofrut reduced its emissions by 4,695 tons, something that demonstrates the commitment to sustainability and care for the Earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These actions are part of a set of measures that the company has decided to take in order to continue producing to bring the highest quality to its customers, but also as a way to send a message of how sustainable production is possible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
