As part of Citrofrut’s Social Responsibility actions in the communities surrounding its facilities, during the first week of November, 12 thousand washable mouth covers were donated.
The masks were made with blankets by a group of women who participate in the sewing and dressmaking workshop of ICAT and other institutions. In compensation, Citrofrut provided the material for their production, as well as the payment for each mouthpiece made, as a way to economically support the women of our communities.
The donation was made to health centers in San Luis Potosí, Veracruz, Tamaulipas and Sinaloa, as well as part of them, to the employees of our localities, so that they could take them home and share them with their families to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Another of the actions carried out by Citrofrut has to do with an alliance with local carpenters and the Red Cross, in which 20 stretchers were built with reusable pallets from our facilities.
This benefited several health centers in neighboring communities that are at their maximum operating capacity, so that patients can have a temporary stretcher while they are admitted to the hospital.
The Red Cross offered great support with the stretchers, and the wheels for each one of them, in the donation in the communities of San Luis Potosí and Veracruz, resulting in a very beneficial synergy for the inhabitants.
With these actions, Citrofrut reaffirms its commitment with the neighboring communities, seeking alliances to face together these difficult times we are living.
